What is your minimum order quantity?
Trial orders start from about 500 kg per product, so you can test the quality and your market before committing. Full container loads are preferred for regular supply. Fresh vegetables are quoted per shipment.
Do you supply within India?
Yes. Alongside exports, we supply Nilgiri tea in bulk to shops, cafés, hotels, distributors and packers across India, with a GST invoice and smaller trial lots. See Nilgiri tea wholesale in India.
What makes Nilgiri tea different?
The Nilgiris are one of the world’s high-grown tea regions, at 1,000 to 2,500 metres, and tea is plucked almost all year round. Nilgiri tea gives a bright, brisk, fragrant cup that is good without milk, stays clear when iced, and blends well. See where the world’s tea grows, and why the Nilgiris stand out.
Can I get samples before ordering?
Yes. Samples of most products are free; the buyer covers courier charges, or shares a courier account number. Tell us the grade and specification you need and we will send matching samples.
What payment terms do you accept?
For first orders, advance payment by bank transfer (T/T), or part advance with the balance against copies of the shipping documents. For larger and repeat orders, an irrevocable Letter of Credit at sight is also accepted.
Which ports do you ship from?
Sea freight from Thoothukudi (Tuticorin, V.O. Chidambaranar Port), Kochi and Chennai, and air cargo from Coimbatore. We quote FOB, CFR or CIF to your destination port.
Can you ship mixed containers?
Yes. Tea, spices, rice and other dry goods can be combined in one container, so you can trial several products in a single shipment. Fresh vegetables need refrigerated or air shipment, so they are quoted separately.
What packing do you offer for bulk export?
Packing is agreed with you for each order. Typical options:
- Tea: multi-wall paper sacks with a foil or poly liner (40 kg), or lined cartons
- Pepper, cardamom and rice: PP woven or jute bags with a food-grade liner, usually 25 or 50 kg
- Fresh vegetables: mesh bags or ventilated cartons, usually 10 to 25 kg, by reefer container or air
- Essential oils: HDPE or aluminium drums
Any line can also be packed in retail pouches, cartons or jars under your brand.
Do you offer private-label packing?
Yes. We develop tea blends to your target cup and pack teas, spices and herbs under your brand, in pouches, cartons or bulk sacks. Minimums per product and pack size are agreed with each project.
How do you check quality?
Every lot is checked at origin against your agreed specification before it is packed. Pre-shipment testing, for example moisture, aflatoxin or pesticide residues, is done by an NABL-accredited (ISO/IEC 17025) laboratory, or a lab of your choice.
How long from order to shipment?
About three weeks for spices, and about four weeks for tea, counted from a confirmed order (approved sample and advance received). Fresh vegetables take about three weeks for a first order; once regular supply is running, we ship weekly with about one week's notice.
How long is a quotation valid?
Usually seven days. Tea is bought at weekly auctions and spice and vegetable prices move with the harvest, so we confirm the price again if an order is placed later.
What if the goods do not match the approved sample?
We keep a reference sample from every lot we ship. If a shipment does not match the approved sample, tell us with photos or a lab report and we will resolve it with you by replacement, credit or a price adjustment.
What is the shelf life?
Packed tea keeps for about 24 months and whole spices for 12 to 24 months when stored cool and dry. Production and best-before dates are printed on every pack. Fresh vegetables are shipped for immediate sale.
Can we visit you?
Yes. We are based in Kotagiri, in the Nilgiris, Tamil Nadu. Buyer visits to our sourcing areas can be arranged by appointment.
